Deciduous Observers: Artwork by Danielle Forbes

Deciduous Observers is the newest body of work by Danielle Forbes, together for the first time this April at Rehab Tavern. The work illustrates personified visions of trees, in surreal fantasized landscapes. Danielle describes the series as her take on what trees are in the world around us, “silent, sometimes ancient, observers of history, my life next to a tree’s is merely a moment in time.” The body of work was first inspired nearly a year ago by Celtic mythology- specifically the deity of Bridgid- a mother goddess of new life. Over time, Ms. Forbes has found these personified trees describe human relationships, how they grow together or tear apart. “This work has become my own spiritual journey, allowing me to work through and illustrate my own emotions.”

Join Ms. Forbes Friday April 8th at 6pm for the show’s opening during the Franklinton Fridays art walk. Rehab Tavern is located off W. Town St, just west of COSI in the Franklinton neighborhood.
